Tristyn had left with Jay so I went to pick Drew up from the arena. When I got to the arena, I parked the truck then I walked inside to find him. I waited for him to finish talking with the guys before we left.
Drew was exhausted from his flight so when we got home from the arena we both passed out. I woke up at around 4:30pm and started getting ready to leave. I walked into Drew's room to wake him up. After shaking him to wake him up he finally got up and got ready. We left the house and headed to dinner. We finally arrived at the restaurant. We parked the truck went inside and found our seats.
"I don't want you and Tristyn to leave. I wish you two could stay longer." Drew said while playing with his napkin
"I know, we don't want to leave neither but we have to go home sometime. Maybe we can come back soon." I said as I took a sip of my drink
"Or maybe I can come to Minnesota for Christmas, I would have to leave late Christmas night but I could still come. I could fly out of Buffalo after my game on the 22nd and stay there til the 25th."
"Yeah you could do that. I would love to have you over for Christmas and I'm sure Tristyn would too. We love having you around." I said as I smiled at him
"Ok then it's settled I'll be up down there for Christmas. Do you think Tristyn is going to have Jayson over too?"
"I'm not sure, possibly. I'll have to talk to her about that. It wouldn't bother me if he was there. Would you care?"
"No I was just curious. He's a good guy and as long as she's happy I'm happy." He said with an unsure smile
"Yeah I like seeing her happy."
"Yeah, well you should have someone who makes you happy too."
I smiled at him as we paid for dinner and walked to the movie theater. Drew bought our tickets and popcorn then we found our seats. After our movie was over we decided to hit up Chippewa instead of going home. When we got to SoHo we ran into a few of Drew's teammates, Mair and Roy.
"Hey, What are you guys up to?" Mair said as he walked over to us
"Nothing really, just thought we would stop here for a few drinks. We just got back from our movie." Drew said as he put his arm around me
"Oh really? Why would you go out on a date with this guy when you could have spent the night with me?" Adam joked
"Adam leave the poor girl alone. She wouldn't want you anyway." Derek said as he brought us all drinks.
I couldn't help but laugh as the three of them just kept picking on each other. They had a few more drinks before we headed home. I made Mair and Roy ride with us since I didn't really drink. After I drove those two home, Me and Drew headed home. I pulled into the driveway and we both got out and walked up to the porch. Drew sat on the step so I sat next to him.
"I had alot of fun tonight Drew." I said to him as he smiled at me.
"Me too. I really like hanging out with you. This might be the first date but I really want to be with you, and I can only hope you feel the same." He said as he leaned over and kissed me.
"I do feel the same. I would love to be with you, but how would that work with how crazy your schedule is. We won't see each other that much."
"I'm sure we could make it work out." He said to me as he hugged me.
"I don't know. We can figure everything out in the morning. Let's go inside." I said as I helped him up off the step.
He went to bed and I went to talk to Tristyn about what just happened.
"How was the date? Did you have fun?" Tristyn asked as I walked into her room.
"Yeah it was really fun. Your brother wants to date me. I told him we would talk about it in the morning. I just don't know about the whole long distance thing."
"Aww you should date him. As for the long distance thing, I'm sure if me and Jay can do it you and Drew can."
"Yeah, I guess your right. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Oh and he's coming to Minnesota for Christmas."
"Yay! That's good to hear. I was wondering what was going on with that. Ok well go get some sleep Andy."
"Ok goodnight Tristyn." I said as I hugged her and went to my room and fell asleep.
~Next Day~
We all got up and headed to practice, when that was over we went to lunch. After lunch Tristyn and Jay left. This gave me and Drew time to discuss everything.
"Drew, Did you mean what you said last night about wanting to be with me and making the long distance thing work?"
"Andy, I wouldn't have said it if I didn't mean it. I may have been drinking but I wasn't drunk. Yes I want to be with you, but do you want to be with me?"
"Yes I do." I said as I looked him in the eyes.
"Ok then it's settled."
He leaned over the table and kissed me. We headed home and cuddled up in his bed and took a pregame nap. He left for the arena around 4pm. I rode with Jay and Tristyn to the arena for the game. When we got home after the game Drew and I sat on the couch and flipped through channels.
"So Andy, since today was the last game of your trip, how do you feel about being a Sabres fan?"
"I'd have to say you've successfully converted me. I'm still a Stars fan though, now I just have 2 teams to support." I said to him as he laughed.
"Aww come on, Does my team get bonus points for me being on it?"
"Yeah they do. I even got my Stafford jersey at the game today." I told him as I got it out of the bag to show him.
"Right on. That's going to look good on you." He said as he hugged me and we fell asleep.

Chapter 4
Andrea's POV
It was Thanksgiving day Drew was preparing the turkey while me and Tristyn were taking care of everything else. Tristyn was talking to a guy who lived in Buffalo so he was coming to dinner. A little while later the doorbell rang. Drew got up to answer it. When Tristyn seen who it was she pretty much tackled him.
"Drew, Andy this is my friend Jason. Jason, This is my brother Drew and my best friend Andy." Tristyn said as she dragged Jason into the house.
"Hi" We all said to each other.
We all sat in the living room as Drew interrogated Jason. He was so protective of Tristyn. After a bunch of questions we could tell Drew approved of Jayson because he started joking with him. Drew went into the kitchen to check on the turkey. When he came back we all sat on the couch and watched TV while we waited for dinner. A few hours later we sat down to eat dinner. I sat in between Drew and Tristyn. The entire time we just sat there talking and enjoying the food. Drew wouldn't stop messing with me. Out of instinct I punched him in the arm. He just laughed and continued.
"Drew just so you know I'm not coming home with you and Andy tomorrow after the game. Me and Jayson are going to the movies." Tristyn said as Drew just stared at her.
I could tell that Drew didn't like this idea too much. He liked Jayson but was still a little weary of letting her go with him since he didn't really know Jay that great. Tristyn just gave Drew this don't say it look.
"What are you two going to see?" I said trying to break the tension.
"The new Harry Potter movie." Tristyn said looking at Jay and smiling.
"Oh I want to see that too. I also want to go see Four Christmases. It looks funny." I said as I continued eating.
"Well then we should go see it. You and me. We can go on the 30th. What do you say?" Drew said as he had a huge smile on his face
I looked at him then looked over at Tristyn. I didn't want to risk upsetting her by going to the movies with her brother. She nodded her head at me so I knew it was alright to accept his offer.
"Sure I'd like that." I said as I thought about it more. I just smiled.
"Sweet it's a date then. Where do you like to eat. We can go to dinner before the movie, unless you would rather just go to the movie. It's up to you." He said
"Yeah I'd like that. How about we go to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner. I hear they have good food." I said to him as I still thought about the fact he asked me out on a date.
"Yeah they do have good food and theres one right next to the theater so it will work out perfect for us."
After dinner we cleaned up the table and then the four of us sat on the couch and watched TV. Jayson and Tristyn were cudded up on one end of the couch. Drew moved closer to me and put his arm around me. I put my head on his shoulder and we just sat there. I felt so comfortable around him. We all ended up passing out where we were. The next morning we were woken up by Drew who was running through the house trying to get ready. He had to be out of the house in 5 minutes and to the arena for practice.
"Sorry guys I didn't mean to wake you up. I'm running late so I'll see you guys later unless Jay wants to bring you two down to the arena." Drew said as he rushed out of the door.
"Jay will you take us down. It will be fun." Tristyn said to him as she kissed him.
"Yeah no problem get ready and we'll go." He said as he got up off the couch.
Me and Tristyn got ready. Sleeping sitting up was not a good thing. I could only imagine how Drew was feeling. We got into Jayson's car and went to the arena. We got down there and it was packed as usual. After practice was over we went back to Drew's where we all took naps before the game. Drew left for the arena around 4:30. We didn't get down there until 7:30 just in time for the game. The game went well with a win for the Sabres. I rode home with Drew while Tristyn went with Jay. When me and Drew got home he started playing his guitar. He was really good at it. I didn't want him to leave. The team was going to practice at the HSBC in he morning then hop on a plane for Montreal. After Jay dropped Tristyn off I asked her how her date went and then I went to bed. As I was falling asleep I could hear the two of them talking.
"Drew if you hurt her I will hurt you. Big Brother or not. Andy is my best friend and I don't want you to hurt her." Tristyn said as she threatened him
"I won't hurt her. I couldn't hurt her. I like her too much." Drew replied
I smiled as I heard this going on. It made me happy to know Tristyn was there for me and that Drew liked me.
~Next Day~
We drove Drew to the Arena this way we could have the truck while he was away. We said goodbye to him and went back to the house. When we got there Jay was waiting out front. We all went to lunch and then the mall. We had fun dragging Jayson into all of the stores.
"So are you excited about your date with my brother. He sure is."
"Yeah I can't wait. By the way, I heard you threatening him last night. God job. You showed him whose boss." I said laughing
"Oh you heard that? Well I can't have him taking advantage of my best friend.Us girls have to stick together." She said to me as she handed Jay another bag to carry
"So are you and Jay together, together?"
"Yeah we have been for a few months. Been doing the long distance relationship thing, but don't tell Drew he'll have a fit."
"Don't worry I won't tell him a thing." I said as we finished shopping and headed to the car.
I was relieved when I got the text from Drew saying they landed safely and he was going to take his pregame nap. Me, Tristyn and Jay all sat at Drew's and watched the game that night. Even though the Sabres had been having a rough time lately I was becoming a fan of the team. That would make Drew happy. I was just excited that he was coming home early tomorrow and then we're going on our date.

Chapter 3
Andrea's POV
It had been a few days since Drew left. Sitting on the couch I looked in my phone and saw his number which Tristyn had given me. I was debating whether or not I should text him. After a few minutes of picturing different scenarios I decided I would.
"Hey Drew, It's Andy. Tristyn gave me your number. I hope you don't mind."
"Hey Andy. No, I don't mind. I told her to give it to you. I forgot to when I was there. What's up? How have you been?"
"I'm good. Just sitting here watching TV. I have nothing better to do. How about you?"
"Oh I can't complain. Never a dull moment around here. So have you and Tristyn decided when you guys are going to come here?"
"Yeah we're thinking we want to come up there November 20th - December 3rd. That way you have a few games to try and convince me."
"Sweet I think I can convince you in 5 games and you guys will be spending Thanksgiving with me. I'm warning you though I'm not the best cook."
"I'm sure me and Tristyn can help out. I'm looking forward to coming there. I've never been to Buffalo."
"Sounds like a plan. I have to go to a meeting so I'll talk to you later."
I sat on the couch smiling. I was so excited about seeing him again. I called Tristyn and told her. We both couldn't wait. It was all we talked about. That would be the longest month ever.
~Next Month~
We both got our stuff together and headed to the airport. We went through security and finally boarded the plane. The plane ride went smooth and we finally arrived at the Buffalo/Niagara International Airport. After we got off the plane we found Drew waiting for us. Me and Tristyn ran up to him and hugged him.
"Hey Ladies. How was your flight?" He said as we walked over to baggage claim.
"It was good." Me and Tristyn both said at the same time.
"Well that's good. It's weird being here and not boarding. The only time I'm ever at an airport is when I'm on my way to the next game." He said as we all laughed.
We got our bags and headed out to his truck. He threw them all in the back and shut the hatch. Drew started the truck as me and Tristyn jumped because he left his stereo on full blast. He saw us jump and just laughed as we pulled out of the parking lot. It was only a 20 minute drive from the airport to his house. We got our bags out of his truck and took them into the house. We sat our bags in the living room as I looked around. Drew took us upstairs to our rooms where we got settled in.
"Make yourselves at home. What do you guys want for dinner?" He said as he put the rest of our bags on the floor.
"Something edible." I said, laughing.
"Ok smartass what Flavor? Do you guys want me to cook something on the grill?" He said as he poked me.
"Isn't it a little chilly outside to grill? It is almost December." Tristyn said giving him a confused look.
"Nope it's never to chilly oustide to use the grill."
"Oh ok then yeah that's fine." Tristyn said while unpacking her bags
"Well what should I grill? We got chicken, Steak, Hot dogs and Hamburgers."
"Let's do Barbeque Chicken." I said while Tristyn agreed.
"Ok chicken it is. I'll be downstairs if you girls need me." Drew said as he turned around and left the room.
Me and Tristyn finished unpacking our bags and got washed up for dinner. Drew had everything ready. We sat down and ate dinner. After we were done me and Tristyn decided we would clean up since Drew cooked.
We all went into the living room and sat on the couch to watch TV. I must have fallen asleep on the couch because I woke up to Drew shaking me. He helped me up to my room since I wasn't fully awake and wasn't steady on my feet. We said goodnight and I fell asleep.
The next morning I got up and went downstairs. Tristyn and Drew were sitting at the kitchen table. They both looked at me when I walked in. They were definitely up to something but I wasn't sure what it was and I didn't care at the moment.
"Good morning sleepy head. Hurry up and get ready. You and Tristyn are coming with me to the arena for practice." He said pouring me a cup of coffee.
I just looked at him still half asleep. I went back up to my room and started getting ready. When I walked downstairs they were both ready to go. I could never figure out how Tristyn was always so awake in the morning. It must run in the family though because it seemed Drew was the same way.
We got into the truck and headed to the arena. I was amazed at how packed the arena got for practices. Practice was pretty tense and Lindy was working them. They had lost the previous 3 games.
After practice we decided to just go back to Drew's house for lunch. After lunch me and Tristyn took Drew's truck and drove around a bit while he took his pre-game nap. We got home a few hours later and got ready for the game.
Around 5 we headed to the arena and hung out while all the guys were in their meetings. They were hoping they could break this losing streak tonight but they had no such luck as the Flyers shut them out. If this kept up it was going to be a long week. No matter what happened at the games I enjoyed just being around Drew and that's what mattered.

Chapter 2
Andrea's POV
The next morning I got up and headed into the kitchen to make coffee. I saw Tristyn sitting on the couch. She scared me when she jumped up.
"Hey Andy, get ready we have to leave." She said as she grabbed the coffee filter from my hand.
"Ok can it wait until after I have my coffee and where are we going?" I said as I gave her a confused look
"Nope no time. We'll get coffee on the way to the arena. Drew called and he wants us to come to practice and then we're going to lunch."
After I heard we were going to see Drew I went to my room and started getting ready. I liked any reason to go see him. We got to the arena a few minutes after everyone had taken the ice. Drew wasn't hard to find out there because he was busy terrorizing all of his teammates. Me and Tristyn sat down in the front row. Drew realized we were there so he shot a puck at the glass in front of us. When we looked at him he just laughed and skated away.
"He can be such an asshole sometimes. He's going to give me a heartattack one of these days." Tristyn said as she glared at Drew
"I don't think he's trying to give you a heartattack. He's your big brother, it's his job to annoy you." I responded while me and Drew made eye contact
"Why are you defending him, you're supposed to be on my side. You like him don't you." She said to me with a huge smile. "Don't lie I can tell you like him."
"I'm not agreeing nor denying that I like him. He's fun to be around."
"Yup you've definitely falling for my brother. He's single you know. I'm pretty sure he likes you too." Tristyn said to me as she nudged me on the shoulder, trying to keep me from staring.
After practice was over Drew met us behind the arena. The three of us headed to lunch. At the resturant we sat there talking about anything and everything. I tried to avoid eye contact with him but it was hard when he kept throwing straw wrappers and pieces of napkins at me. He really was like a big kid but I loved that about him. If he didn't realize I liked him Tristyn sure did.
"Ok enough beating around the bush here you two. Drew, Andy likes you, and no denying it Andy" Tristyn said as she looked at both of us waiting for a response
Knowing I couldn't disagree I just looked at Drew and saw him crack a smile. I was waiting for a response or a wise ass remark from him. I didn't have to wait very long.
"Yeah I know I'm studly." He said jokingly."But seriously I like you too, I just didn't want to say anything, because your my little sister's best friend and I didn't want her to kick my ass. I was going to tell you after the game hoping we could talk and get to know each other some more, but obviously Tristyn had other plans." He said sticking his tongue out at her.
Tristyn didn't seem to be bothered by the fact I liked her brother. That made me feel better about the situation. At this point we had to get Drew back to his hotel so he could take his pregame nap. We dropped him off then headed home. The excitement of going to the game was getting to us. It seemed like 7:00pm was taking it's sweet time getting here. To try and pass the time me and Tristyn decided we would take naps too.
~Later That Day~
We both got up from our naps and got ready for the game. Game day traffic was always killer so we decided to leave a little early.
The game started and me and Tristyn were having a great time. Drew scored the first goal of the game. When he scored we jumped up and started screaming. The Wild fans around us just looked at us. Then in the second period the Wild took the lead with goals from Pouliot and Veilleux. The 3rd period started and we were hoping the Sabres would come back. Burns made it 3-1 Wild 29 seconds into the 3rd. All the Wild fans thought they had us beat, but then the Sabres started their comeback Mair and Vanek tied the game. Later Roy would win it in OT for the Sabres. You could hear the excitement coming from the Sabres locker room. When Drew walked out I knew what was coming.
"So how about them Sabres?" Drew said feeling confident he was succeeding
"What about them? I'm not fully convinced I should be a Sabres fan over a Stars fan." I gave him an evil smile.
"Fine it may take a few games but i'm sure you'll give in. Just watch. You two have to come to Buffalo for a few games. Let me know when you guys are free and I'll fly you to Buffalo for a few days. Ok?"
"Ok we'll let you know. It will be good to get out of Minnesota for a few days, and I'm sure Andy would love to come visit you." Tristyn said as she looked at me to see me blushing.
"Ok it's a deal. I have to get ready to get to the airport. We're flying to Colorado tonight, but it was nice seeing you two and I'm looking forward to completing the challenge. Call me Sis, let me know." Drew said as he hugged us both.
We said our goodbyes and headed home. I couldn't wait to visit him in Buffalo. Hopefully we would be going soon. I wanted to see him again even though we just left him. After thinking about Tristyn telling Drew I liked him for a good half hour I finally fell asleep.

Chapter 1
Disclaimer: I do not own Drew Stafford or any other hockey player named in this story.
Andrea's POV
Drew and my 1 year anniversary was coming up. Knowing this I started thinking back to how we met.
We had started dating last year after his sister Tristyn introduced us. Drew was in town because his team was playing against the Wild. The Sabres had arrived the day before the game so Tristyn decided it would be a good idea to spend some time with her brother. She let me tag along so I could meet Drew who she talked about all the time.
When we got to the Sabres hotel the team bus was just arriving. We waited in the hotel lobby for the guys to get off the bus. When all of them walked into the hotel Tristyn ran up to Drew and hugged him from behind. Surprised he turned around to noticed his sister.
"Hey Sis long time no see. What have you been up to punk?" He said with an evil smirk on his face.
"Nothing much, Just thought we would come and surprise you, maybe steal you away from the team for a little while." She said as she smacked him.
"Sure let me just sign in and take my bags to my room. I'll be right back." He said as he started to walk away. Drew quickly turned around with a confused look on his face.
"Wait, what do you mean WE would visit you? Did you bring someone with you?"
Realizing that she hadn't introduced us yet Tristyn found me and pulled me toward him.
"Yeah I brought my friend Andrea. Andy this is Drew, my older brother. Drew this is my best friend, Andy."
"Hi Drew." I said shyly.
"Hey Andy, Nice to meet you." He said as he poked Tristyn.
"Ok girls let me run these up to my room then we can head out"
We sat in the lobby waiting for Drew to return. About 10 minutes later he came down to the lobby.
"Ok what do you say we ditch this popsicle stand ladies?" He said coming in between me and Tristyn and wrapping his arms around both of us.
We decided we would go eat at Hell's Kitchen in Minneapolis since it was only 15 minutes away from the hotel. We sat down and ordered our food. While we waited Drew and Tristyn started catching up. It was amusing listening to all their stories. Tristyn was right when she said he was a big goofball. I couldn't help but laugh when they brought up Drew's band Invisible Children. I had seen the video of him in the tight leopard pants with a wig and fake moustache. Picturing him doing that now amused me. I must have laughed loud enough for him to hear because he then looked at me and asked what was so funny.
"Nothing, I was just thinking of something." I said to him hoping he wouldn't ask what it was.
"Oh ok. So are you a hockey fan?" He said trying to change the subject.
"Yeah I grew up in Dallas, Texas so I've been a lifelong Stars fan."
"Oh man. I think we're going to have to change that." He said smiling at me.
"How about you come to tomorrow nights game, you and Tristyn. We can try and convert you."
"I think that might be quite a challenge considering I've been a Stars fan since I was little, but if you're up to the challenge then sure."
"Well I am up to the challenge so say goodbye to your days as a Stars fan." He said shaking my hand.
After dinner we went back to Tristyn's house and hung out for a little while. We sat on the couch, flipping channels. Since Halloween was a few weeks away there were alot of horror movies playing. We ended up watching Friday the 13th. Drew being the goofball he is kept trying to scare us by randomly yelling or tapping us. When the movie was over we had to drive Drew back to the hotel before he got in trouble.
"See ya Sis, love ya. Andy, Nice meeting you. See both of you girls tomorrow. Then let the converting begin." He said laughing as he pulled both me and Tristyn in for a hug.
After we left Drew's hotel we both headed home. That night as I laid in bed all I could think of was Drew and how fun he was to be around. I couldn't wait til tomorrow to go to the game. I hadn't been to one in a long time so I was excited. After replaying all of the days events in my head I slowly drifted off to sleep.
